What is Billetto and how does it work? Billetto is a ticketing platform for event organisers — from first-time hosts to experienced promoters. Create an event page, sell tickets in your local currency, accept secure payments, manage guest lists, and check people in at the door — all from one platform. It's free to get started, with no website, plugins, or payment setup needed.

How much does Billetto cost?

We charge 3.9% + €0.90 per ticket sold (ex VAT), which is paid by the ticket buyer, because most organisers choose to pass the fee on to attendees. If you prefer, you can choose to cover the fee yourself. No monthly fees, no setup costs. Running larger or higher-value events? You may pay less — see our Growth plan.

In what markets does Billetto operate in? Billetto is available across Denmark, Sweden, Norway, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Finland, Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Portugal, and Italy.

When do I get paid? Your ticket revenue is paid out 3–5 working days after your event ends, along with a full breakdown of your revenue and fees. Your bank may then take a few more working days to process the transfer. Just add your bank details in your account beforehand so there are no delays.

What payment methods can my attendees use?

Depending on the country, available payment methods may include Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, MobilePay, Swish, Vipps and iDeal | WERO.

Who pays the fees — me or the ticket buyer? In most cases the ticket buyer pays the booking fee, because most organisers choose to pass it on. But you're in control: if you'd rather absorb the fee yourself and offer your attendees an all-in price, you can switch that on at any time, without any issue.

What happens to my attendees if I cancel an event?

You set your own refund terms, and you control how and when refunds are processed. Attendees usually receive their refund within 5 working days. Booking and card fees can also be refunded to attendees on request. If you're moving the event rather than cancelling, attendees keep their place or can be guided to rebook — it's all manageable from your dashboard.

Does Billetto offer a POS system?

Yes. Billetto POS 2.0 lets you sell tickets in person alongside your online sales, all managed from one place. Turn any phone, tablet, or computer into a box office by pairing it with an Adyen payment terminal — and accept every major payment method, including cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Your in-person and online sales stay synced automatically, so your tickets, inventory, customer data and reporting all live in one unified backoffice. You can also print physical tickets on demand at the door. It's ideal for concerts, festivals, theme parks and tours, and you can get started for free.

How much does the POS equipment cost? The Adyen payment terminal costs €199 each, and an optional ticket printer is €270 each. Both are one-off purchases — there are no monthly hardware fees. Your terminal accepts all Visa and Mastercard payments, plus NFC phone payments like Apple Pay and Google Wallet where a Visa or Mastercard is linked.
